Blessing of the Cross and Bell Tower at Salesian College, Sunbury

We were honoured to have Rev. Fr. William Matthews, SDB, Salesian Provincial Australia-Pacific, to bless our College Bell Tower and Cross. The Salesian Sisters were invited to be part of this event, and Sr. Louise, Sr Ednamary and Sr. Ljudmilla were present. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions more FMA were not able to be present. But it was a beautiful simple ceremony and marks the first stage of the building of the College chapel in the area.

This cross is befitting to our faith, and a visual reminder that our Catholic identity is part of our everyday story. The bells and bell tower when used will call people to celebration to lift their hearts and minds to God our creator.
