Province Chapter - Day 3

Day 3 continued the theme of the Beatitudes, particularly meaningful for the Salesian Sisters who take the vows to "follow the Beatitudes radically". With today's Beatitude "Blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy", the Engadine and St Marys' communities led us in a very reflective morning prayer centering on God's Mercy and Trust in God with beautiful images and song.
The question for today challenges us to "live conversion to communion and sincere fraternity in our FMA communities", which inspired deep soul-searching questions as each Sister reflected on how she could live authentic as FMAs in communities, rubbing shoulders with other Sisters, in harmony and sisterly communion.
The method "Conversation in the Spirit" again helped Sisters shared deeply, sincerely and freely, and came up with an actionable plan to help us lead a more authentic life as FMA that each has committed to.

Another highlight of this day was the beautiful Vietnamese spring rolls and "pho", prepared and served with the generosity and love of the family of our Provincial, Sr Hieu. It is fitting to add that Sr Hieu's family has been extremely generous to cook delicious meals for the whole Chapter! Every day we were so blessed to enjoy wonderful food cooked by her brothers, sisters, nieces, etc.
